RIP the UK

  1. It's awful with people posting links to articles about either side, I don't f'ing care either way :(

it almost makes me laugh mate.
People genuinely seem to be competing to see who can wring their hands hardest.

  3. Our car industries were wrecked by militant unions back in the 60's and 70's. Fortunately nowadays we are able to produce quality cars in an atmosphere of peace and so attract foreign investment.

We are in different times now for the better. Like the Brexit vote, those people who didn't vote Conservative, will have to learn to accept the result and stop all this bickering.

Conservatives are in, Labour is not. That's it.

  4. I saw a link to one article in a paper complaining about propaganda in another paper, talk about self awareness !

Bristol is currently suffering it’s 2nd anti-Johnson “protest” in 2 days.

  6. It's nonsense, I mean I voted labour for only the second time ever as we have a really good local MP, ex headmaster and is talking about investment in the local schools and Wythenshawe hospital, but you gotta let it go like Brexit (which I also didn't vote for).

  7. Isn’t it just
I went out in the pouring rain to vote
Knowing full well my vote was less than useless
Because it’s a Tory safe seat ,if the Tory candidate was a new forest pony it would win

But you have to vote o_O

  8. The students in Bristol are revolting.

    Partly true.
Except that now we’re no longer a tax effective way into the EU that investment will likely dry up as our ex-EU fellow countries will become much more attractive prospects.
At least there might end up being fewer BMWs on our roads.
    Just sayin..

It’ll take years for the economy to re-shape from just-in-time delivery of foodstuffs and a shared market to more own produced goods and I think British farming should have something of a resurge but we’ll see.
We just have to accept it and get on with it.

  14. Really. You ate right of course things move on. But only in a repetitive circular motion it seems and without learning from the past. Well lets think about that. Corbyn was widely derided by many including that particular chap for taking us back to the 70s. Well we may now be looking at a thatcheresque future so basically back to the late 70s early 80s.

The ownership of the means of production is still with the “mill owners” who are now global concerns intent upon propagating rampant consumerism to feed their profits whilst the world is in a climate crisis. We need less consumerism and control over production.

Had the workers taken control and globalised then would it look any different. Id like to think so but its clear that many working class people (ie any form of wage slave) are just as greedy as the billionaires!

You may move on but i will tell you now that i cant contemplate any future whereby i would vote Tory.

  15. Its a slow day!

  16. It doesn't work that way as you know. Democracy only works with an effective opposition. If that opposition isnt there in the house then it will be on the streets.

Seems many of us are glib and quick to tell others to accept things as they are. You can if you want but don't expect others to do so and then criticise cos you don't care or cant be bothered. If your happy thats fine. Happens every time anyone takes a view or moral standpoint that doesn't fit well with the cosy middle class lifestyle. But then again its a “classic car site” full of “ middle class” people.

  17. I'm not getting involved, it makes me sick to the stomach! I cannot believe the lack of compassion society has for society! My politics will look after you & yours but your tory politics will only look after the rich, who will NOT look after you! Absolute disgrace! Boris was right when he said the Great British public are stupid idiots!

It’s going to be hard to recruit 50000 nurses
Better get some of the Eastern Europeans back
But of course they don’t feel welcome anymore
All I can say is I hope that he comes through for his
    Floating do or die disciples
