A preview of the prototype bay seats I’m putting together for Mike’s camper, fresh off the machine. RnR bed cushions up next.

Before and after on a repair job for this rear bench which had some rust staining on it.

Unusually for me this is from a Fiat 500, so still an aircooled vehicle but not a VW.

RnR bed cushions all put together for Mike’s camper.

A super clean look to these with crisp white fabric and a dark grey vinyl.

Leanne’s beetle rear bench all built up this morning. This combination of grey vinyl and blue fabric will look great in her blue bug.

Range Rover P38 seats reupholstered in vintage brown ready to go into Deon’s prototype bay.
Lots of nice details on these including the headrests and armrests.

Rob’s late bay front seats reupholstered in a nice vinyl and fabric combination, inspired by the seats I did for a T25 last year:

I'm working on a few extra bits for Deon’s prototype bay this week.

First up some new covers for his dormobile roof bunks.

I am getting seat envy now! Will talk to you in the future about doing the 2 front seats of the champagne edition bay lucky purchased earlier this year - all rear seats are in tact but fronts need replacing

Sounds good! Drop me a message as I always like something a little different. Are you going to try and match the rear seats, or go for something completely different?

Match would like to keep everything stock original
Van is in Holland currently - we will work on the engine servicing and bodywork first then reinstall it the original interior ( currently has a home made camping interior ) back to microbus and then get front seats sorted out

Around Aug 2021 I picked these up off ebay for the possible bargain price of £65...

    upload_2023-7-20_22-32-16.png

The seat backs seem to be able to be bolted onto my 1974 bay seat bases....so I'm looking to have my bases, these backs and headrests recovered in something as close to the rest of my interior as possible.
Is this something you could give me an approx price for please ?

    Cheers
    Ian

there’s a couple of different back rest types , one set are integral to the runners , you may not be able to swap , worth checking

I had them bolted on already... maybe clearance to top of seat cushion was a touch tight is all I noticed so some very slight difference for sure. Could be a slight difference in the dim from pivot points to the bar with the hooks on it on the seat back
