Of course Ian. Drop me a PM and I’ll see what I can do! From memory as Davidoft points out there are some differences over the years but if you’ve managed to bolt them together it should be fine. The only major difference that springs to mind is when the passenger seat just clips in like the earlier style of seats, the backs on these are very different from the drivers side. Pretty much yeah headrest back bolted to my swivel passenger base… on closer inspection the shoulder bolts securing the seat back on drivers seat are a little smaller in dia and thread…
I wasn’t sure if you lot would be sick of me restoring stuff! Happy to put a build thread up though if anyones interested? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
you're right; I want to hear more about quiche and football teams and cups of tea - stuff your boring old VW restorations!!!!!
Mike sent me some lovely detail shots of the front seats and RnR bed I put together for him recently. They looks great next to the trim panels from trim Jim.
7 piece box cushion set just finished up for Nigel’s T5. Beluga Blackbeard vinyl on the seating side, with soft suedeliner on the reverse for sleeping.
3/4 width bed finished up this evening for Ed’s ‘71 Sportsmobile. Such a lovely combination of fabrics in this van.
Rod’s RnR bed cushions finished up this week. A really nice clean look to these with 2” pleats and white stitch French seams.
Ed’s buddy seat cushions all buttoned up today (literally!). Last job of the year for me upholstery wise, so thank you to everyone that has come to me for their upholstery work this year, I have had some interesting bits come my way over the last 12 months. Looking forward to next year as I crack on with building a new upholstery workshop, hopefully make some more progress on my own split project and get stuck into some more of your upholstery projects. I already have jobs booked in for a brace of bay windows and another Porsche 914.
