  4. are the timbers solid? if they are can you not get a couple shaped steel plates made up in say 3mm plate? to lock /fix the two joists together so the bottom one wont go any where , errm or do i need a harvey wall banger

Hmm. Looks like you are trying to be useful / helpful @Barneyrubble. Neither of these things is really my forte

  9. Will get done measurement to dad. Thank you.

  10. Sorry. Can't take my babychams like I used to.

  11. Got my head under the floorboards tonight. Looks like one if the noggings isn't even attached to the joist but chocked up on what should be the old bulkhead wall (which forms the kitchen and stairs divide) Oh joy. Think I'm going to have to take the floor up and the stair ceiling out so the dog can really see the rabbit. The bath arrives on Saturday, the fire goes in on Wednesday and I want to hide under the duvet.
To top it all I missed my train back to leeds then ended up on the wrong one. Marmite day :(

  12. Can you fit the bath in the kitchen instead. Will make topping up your drinks while you soak a doddle

  14. Had the bathroom floor been flat and no holes I would've just dumped a massive bath on it and thought nowt of it. Bugger.

  15. Saves trudging up the stairs when you're knackered. It the new fire thing going in the bathtchen too?

Though at this particular moment in time I can't remember why. Good nights sleep needed methinks.

  18. Sleep tight.

  19. Stove in the living room. Wait for the chimney to collapse!

Ok feeling too bleak off to bed so I don't spread my misery.
