this was a scary moment being the firt bus id owned and not done much welding before thourght i had fooked it
was starting to regret buying the bus cos 1. it was a panelvan convert 2. didnt think it needed this much work 3. all thou the floor was new and roof was solid the rest was rusty but carried on and found once i had done both arches and door repairs and rskins i was a lot happyier being my first atept it was a bit scary )
made up a few suspect repair panels :- prob not up to some of you guys standard but they are nice and solid and cut back to good metal so thats that tried mi best
about £500 of parts later, reel of weld wire a burnt ear loads of hot rock burns to arms legs and crates of stella later looking back wish id have bare metalled the mid section still might yet ;D
bourght these and thourght they where cool then decided better of stockish so painted and moon eyed these
Good work with that. I think we all go through a stage of regretting buying a bus that needs loads of work, I know I did, but nice to see you've come through the other side!
thing is now with the bus ive had time to look back at the repairs i did think all of the work is quite good but i may sand down the large panels back to bare metal and repaint best thing is ive had a good summer of fun out of it so it was worth the hard work!
