oh yeah this is the best origanal part on the van
still needed work tho

 

anyway back to the lower front panel

 

decided to cut all the rusty out and replace lower front panel and defo panel



as this was just fooked


now time for new clean metal ;D

 

was talking to paul weeding today and heres the pic i was telling him about
really poor repair by some one


had to buy this


and do this to the Marmitetty repair

took time to do but the pass side didnt take half as long lol!

 

anyway back to the front again sorry for the jumpy posting but it is 1am and whiskey is flowing and ive been fitting a kitchen until 1030 pm so hey ho
here we go

 

was doing a bit of work on the mk1 hope you dont mind me posting

have a bit of time spare so heres some more oic of last years efforts

 

finished the lower repairs to the front so i striaghtened the front panel out

 

primed and flatted back ready for high build primer

 

so i got the front of the van looking good
time to sart the front arches this is wot i was presented with







Truly orrible

 

cut the rot rite out


cutting plate and welding was my new found luv

 

note to self dont use galvi plate as it can kill :-[ horrible gases are release when weldered
but your repairs will never rust )
