Para how are you measuring it? I was always told that if you can feel it but not see it then its OK? or was that something else? ;)

  7. I can feel it move, see it move and hear a clunk when pulling it back and forth

I measured it by screwing a bolt with a large washer into the case and used a feeler gauge to measure the distance between the washer and fly wheel when the flywheel was pulled away from the washer

  11. They're fine for general measurements... I have tried using one to measure endfloat, and it is a little hit n miss

A mag base, and a dial gauge is the way to do it properly... but then as a one off investment, it is a little bit on the steep side 8)

  12. Cheers guys

Im more skint than a skint thing during skint week at the moment so im just going to shove the engine back in a corner and forget about it for now

  13. Got the dti gauge on it now

Im struggling to get my head around reading the gauge:confused:

  14. That's why I use digital gauges ;)

    What's the range on it?

  15. Is it reading 0.133 or 1.33

    Looks like 1.33 to me....

  17. 1.33mm

  18. I'm not a fan of dial gauges... too much thinking required to read one ;)
