  1. I stumbled across a thread on piston heads last night that completely and utterly engrossed me for 3+ hrs, this fella found a nazi tunnel in his garden and found.........

Well you got to read it all to find out:

    http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=543304&hw=Nazi&nmt=Secret%20Room%202%20.......%20%22Nazi%20Bunker%22

  2. By the way, the blog post he refers to doesn't cover the whole story.....

  3. I couldn't read 223 pages does anyone know what's in the hole

no one knows. i started at the end and worked backwards

  6. That's cheating there is more to it than what's at the end.

    I will summarise.

  7. Mr CY88 lives in Jersey and for 6 years has pondered on the existence of a Nazi bunker in his garden, his property is situated in an old quarry and would be an ideal location for one. Doing some research he discovers that Jersey is littered with old tunnels and bunkers left behind from WW2 and manages to find some old reconnaissance photos of the area, these show what looks like the entrance to a tunnel/bunker.

After much deliberation he decides to hire a mini digger and start exploring, as any self respecting man would. After removing the top surface of soil CY88 comes across a massive boulder easily 8 tons resting above where he suspects the entrance, with a little more digging around said boulder they unearth a concrete roof structure.

As we dig down, the boulder starts to look precarious....

It eventually starts to topple.... and the digger driver has to steady it down...

As the huge rock rolled away though, the spotter shouted that he'd seen something that had been uncovered....

Fuelling their excitement and interest with a little more digging they manage to clear a hole to reveal an entrance, or at least the top section.

Unfortunately.... the boulder was too big for the digger to move (we estimated about 8 tonnes) and we needed to get behind it to keep digging. So we had to call a halt to proceedings while I source a rock-breaker attachment for the digger!oh, and I hadn't warned the wife either... so I had this to explain when she came home

Over the course of a few days an opening is made and his friend Bob rigs up a rudimentary light bulb on the end of a stick and they tentatively look inside.

What opens up is what seems to be a large tunnel stretching back away from the light.

  8. The situation with the boulder now becomes apparent, to investigate further requires removal of said boulder so after much deliberation they decide to break up the boulder to move it.

"the boulder"... i'm growing quite fond of it:

    Wow
Thers a few bunkers and tunnels near us on the Mendips
they where built for the ristance to hide in, if we where invaded
I went in a newly found one a few years ago there were bunks, food and guns all ready just a bit dusty.
They think there are loads more yet to be found as there were no records made of where they are.
