Unbelievable really. Such utter Marmitee
It was rusty like yours where it came apart too, brand new. I welded it properly and carried on which was less bother than moaning then getting a replacement that would also need finishing before fitting.
I'll get a refund. Especially if David has a decent original in the shed.
I just checked. Purchased 2 weeks ago.
I've asked for a refund rather than a replacement.
Another trip to wilshers
How did it go?
I thought he was retiring last April?
Still here mate.
Ask him if he can fit mine in in the next 10 days.
What's the Bhp this time?
I bet it'll run like a dream all the way home
No idea yet. Looking about 100 which was same as last time
35 more than Cyril then

Running much better. He suggests I get twin carbs.
Another expensive bill
I left a nice pool of oil behind for him to remember me by. I wonder if it's coming from dipstick boot?
Twin carbs would make a big difference I reckon
103bhp is good though
How much does he charge then. I meant to ask him last time we were there but in all the excitement I forgot.
Agreed. He had a 1641 in just before mine and that was pushing 116bhp twin carbed
He said his weber guy said get 34ICT but at £400 for the complete setup I need to convince the wife. That's not easy considering we should be moving in about a month.
No idea but it was 190+ blood for about 3 hours which was the same as last time.
Blimey, if he can improve my fuel consumption by an extra 3 mpg it'll only take me five years of running the van to show a profit.
We're getting 96bhp max power from our 1911 type 4 with 34 ICT's
