  1. Agreed. I know the outside of my bus needs some work, but if it came back from somewhere with damage like that I'd want it sorted.

  2. Life is too short imo....:hattip:

First of all I just want to say thanks to everyone who's called, pm'd or just added some useful advice.

Damage has been agreed to be paid for.

Having calmed down a bit I went to get some pics tonight. It's bad but I think it's a case of looks worse than it is. Quite a bit going to be needed to be stripped to repair properly.

No idea these scratches got there. It's not damaged but I suspect something's happened to do with the bumper.

Not just a case of stripping bend bits back clean and weld then.

Maybe , but that's no just catching it a bit , he must have dragged the titanic on your tow bar

Yup. It's strange that it's pointing down as well as you would of thought it would of been upwards.

Short story is he reversed it back of the transporter van, hit the bumper/towbar and then drove his van forward. Which means I should check the whole underneath.

Makes no sense at all that the bumper has been forced the wrong way.
Glad common sense has prevailed. You can't give a bus back in that state and intimate you've done the owner a favour.

  17. I did think it was only a scratch...

Glad it's going to get sorted...:hattip:

I think that tow bar and bumper brackets were hanging mainly on the front fixings, you loose one of the three each side with that sort of tow bar. To me the bumper looks like it's wrong before it was dropped off. If it wasn't coroded it would have just stuck on the tarmac?

So, providing it gets repaired, you will end up better than you started?

Fingers crossed it gets done quickly and you all get your holiday this year.

  19. Looks like he used the towbar to strap it down with.. seen it before on an old mini go like that :(

I brought a @butty bit throttle linkage during the week. Turned up next day as promised excellent bit of kit and well machined.

    Fitted it today

It's made a massive difference and one of the best things I've brought for the van.
