i wouldn't think any type of brilliant recovery is on the cards after so long though? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-27868787
I don't think he's in good shape and, unfortunately, unlikely to be. There's not been much real news recently.
No real update though is it? Is he able to communicate? Sadly I believe he is brain dead and I doubt we'll see him in the public eye for many years.
If he is brain dead surely he is alive only by machine, not living . But them what truth about it all do we really know.
My understanding is that if a person, any person, is found to be brain dead i.e. no signs of activity at the brain stem, then they do not keep them alive by machine or otherwise - the family is advised that there is no hope and that the machines should be switched off. Undoubtedly and tragically he has life changing injuries - but there is a marked difference between being in a vegitive state and being factually brain dead - the former has the hope of some form of recovery, the latter has no hope of recovery.
We live in a world were we expect information now where those in the spotlight lose their private lives amd right to be seen as human for all to see and know like that media whore Katie Price. It's a sad state of affairs that ears we want to know so we can move on to the next tragic/juicy story. By the way did they find that plane?? Its gone a bit quite hasn't it. See what I mean??
