In-fill after arch - the front of the arch tucks behind it.

  2. Thanks Zed. :)

So this is the last couple of days progress:

Think it was a case of because she could:

the kids did quickly say but you tell us of for writing on the bus mum (in the dirt) - what could be said?

Front arch and B Pillar all in now:

Then we had a go at the rear side window:

    From this:

    to this:

and then he had a trip out to see what all this noise about sunshine was:

before going back in to the shed for the next stage:

at least this time he can look out at a view (for the moment anyway) :))

It is a great feeling that we have now got him turned round and are almost halfway on the welding front.

    Front panel next!

  3. Dude get some etch primer on that bare metal as you go along otherwise it will start rusting up

The arch looks tidy did you check the door fits before you welded it up?

  4. yes, was tacked in with the door on. came out well in the end, must of been in and out 5 times before i was happy with the door gap along the arch ^-^ as far as the etch primer goes weve just ordered a spray gun ;)

Ive just taken the front panel off, and come to look at others restos as whether to brace the front up before i take the inner out.
Ive forgotten as its about 4 year since ive done a bay, been a t25 and bug man of late ::)

  5. Looking good Mate , I did not brace the front when I tool the iner and out front panels of as the a pillars were strong , carnt do any harm to do brace it thow .
I took a load of measurements before takeing it all off and re fitting but most of the old panels had filler and plates everywhere :(
    Keep up the good work

  6. We had the dash out this morning, took a while to label the electrics up but worth the effort when it goes back in ;)

I decided not to brace the front up as it will still be fixed to roof and floor so can't go to far  so it was off with his face >:D

Not sure how long this little fella had been hitching a lift for but he has now been rehomed to the hedge

Found a bit more rot than expected in the ns pillar, its from where the aeriel was, not decided what to do about where to put another aerial when we go to put one back on.

We've got a spare pillar that was saved for another project but i might end up using it on this ,will decide when i've picked a bit more

  7. Blimey dude you aint hanging around are ya

  8. Needs must and all that! :))

  9. Since last time the n/s pillar has been repaired

  10. Nice work dude

  11. Been a while since i updated this :-[
Since i was here last the front end hasnt moved on cause i need the doors open to do any more and its been peeing it down with rain every time ive been able to get time in the shed ::)

The rear chassis has been done then the batt tray went in
    [IMG]

after a small repair of the inner arch tub the back end of the rear arch and rear corner have gone in and been ground back. both had had repair pannels slaped over the top which has left behind some heat distortion which i will beat out if i get time but time pressure is on me now

this afternoon i cut the patch off the front of the rear arch followed by the dented and rusty side pannel and outter sill.
I counted the sills after cutting the outer off and still had 3

Ive got the new inner, outer and side pannel repair but got to order centre section in the morning.

starting to feel like im slowly making some progress :) Time is well and truely against us now, weve got 6 weeks till a weding we want to take the bus to as a shake down run for the busses first show in 7 weeks time  We will make it to Vdub Island but how finnished it will be could be open to question

Oh and whats this bit of tube for in the front arch?
