If asked I'd say that I was a Christian but don't pray and only attend church for weddings and funerals.
And me, I went to a Christening the other day, lovely event, We were halfway through All things bright and beautiful and a bloke next to me said in a voice that was too loud to be polite,"I dont think I can take any more of this BOLX when do we go to the pub" it was hard not to laugh.
My wifes a cyclist, Im proud to say that in the earl 90s she won the NPS, she cycles every day, in fact shes out now, anyone who has visited me will know I live in a place where the roads are only just one car wide with occasional passing places. there are a lot of local cyclists, some better than others who on there way to work will pull in and let you pass and if coming the other way will stop in the passing places and more than not have a chat, many a time I have chucked a bike in the back of me truck with a flat tyre and took them home. A couple of years ago the council in their wisdom have put a cycle route through the village, I know why its lovley around here and better than riding on 5hitty main roads that are dangerous ,hundreds of riders flood through now, most are OK but you get some mainly but not solely in the full tour kit and sometimes in big groups, they never pull over and let you pass, and if coming the other way never slow or stop in passing places, they will push past knocking in wing mirrors and banging on roofs, if you go in the pub everone moans about them, " I hate cyclists, cyclists this cyclists that" even the local cycalists hate them, they give us a bad name!! to my shame I join in cos I hate them as well. Then I go home to the wife. They should never have put that bloody cycle route in.
