Lockdown and travel restrictions

  1. Didn't it originally come from china? I think the west is petrified of them and their regime therefore no fuss has been made. China has always wanted dominance over just about every country on the planet.

Is it me or does the Tier 3 map look V similar to the 2019 General Election map? might just be the fact that the virus is more concentrated in the urban areas and the urban areas tended to vote labour?

  3. I guess your information is as reliable as mine on exactly how and where this particular strand of coronavirus came into being. If, as research suggests, it originated within bat populations, and was subsequently transmitted to other mammals, including humans, through increased contact (habitat loss, encroachment, cultural practices etc.) then whilst China may have been the first country to witness large scale infections, it can't really be held to account in any real sense; viruses spread. that's what they do. How the authorities responded to it from a domestic and international perspective is another argument. People have always sought to exploit a crisis for whatever reason (usually power and wealth). I don't think China is any different to any other country in this regard

One thing I will say though, apportioning blame to deflect attention from your own failings is pretty standard practice for governments around the world. We all do it to a certain extent, some more so than others, it's a part of our nature (according to Freud;))

I do think that China need pressure putting on them to stop the importation and exploitation of endangered species. Unfortunately there are far more human idiots in the world than rhinos

  6. Indeed !
    But good luck with that
I think the Chinese people would have to stop their approach,
I suppose it would be a bit like stopping some British people eating a Sunday roast ,or whatever countries people like eating because they like it.

  7. I can't make up my mind whether it was accidently released from the Wuhan lab or released on purpose. I'm sorry but I don't buy the bat bit a pangolin story. Years ago someone said the next war will be fought with no guns, it will be biological and I'm tending to think that is what has happened here. Going further, I think this has all started years ago with the mass influx of cheap available chinese goods into the west, making our manufacturing industry obsolete and putting the west into a position of reliance on china. That new guy is a right piece of work and the video's I've seen of the new chinese army are very disturbing.

Saw a map today of the infection rate and it looked very similar across the UK.

  12. Feel quite sorry for pangolins - nobody had ever heard of them before, now they've got the blame for all this.
