If you arent hauling around heavy gear every day, you may not be strong enough to drive a bus in a carpark. When I first drove my bus to Cornwall, there were carparks where there were spaces that I knew the bus would fit into, and could be driven into, but I wasnt trained enough at the time. So I had to go back up the hill at Padstow. These days, I think I could do it. But as I get older there may come a time when I cannot manage it again. But as I think its a clunky option with that electric motor jammed on the column, at the moment I would rather have the space round the pedals and steering column for my legs.
I had mine fitted by Neil, he drove me into the local village to mooch around and came back in my van to pick me up ! A great man. Anybody in doubt….don’t be
To be fair, he is offering a pretty unique and field tested system that I and many have benefitted from. He is running a business. JK charge £6 to send a bulb !
And he also made excellent recommendations on the state of my steering components for which I was very grateful.
No need for the "but" - did I not say £25 for camping and supervision was pretty cool? Saves post too eh? But it's probably a 500 mile round trip for me so the post is cheaper and it doesn't look like a difficult job.
Sure, but the group buy discount isn't going to rush me into buying one. I didn't see that on the site? If that's right it's a bit rude to knock off £50 then add £20 to the postage.
I disagree Mike, The unit is unnoticeable ( and unfeelable ) when driving, ( the cover , which is an extra , makes it reasonably unintrusive, and unnoticeable.) I can lift heavy weights in the usual way , but the lateral movement of steering was a major problem for me ( major brachial plexus injury) . I was destined to jettison the van….no longer a problem, and have a reversing camera to make it even better! It really doesn’t impinge at all on the space around the pedals , or the column.
I’ve spent a fair few bob on the van. I have to say ( apart from the bits that makes her start) It’s by far the best outlay I’ve made. Not cheap but fantastic.
At risk of over egging the flan/quiche . I am in the process of upgrading my S/port badly carburettered labouring 1641 cc .( which is fine albeit plodding ) To …hopefully a twin Webber 34 ICT with 123 distributor. If I had the choice of going to the above or having the Litesteer then a no brainer , Litesteer every time …I have no connection to the company .
It will still plod and run out of puff as single ports do, but point taken. Why can't I find that? Got a link to the page?
He’s a small business , hopefully on the spanner’s keeping it going rather than concentrating on the daily increasing costs way beyond his control .
