I feel like that when someone posts a link to their resto blog rather that making the effort to post up on here, but this thread is about litesteer specifically and would be odd to cut and paste the info from their site when all is revealed by following the link. I will say I'd rather see the actual link in all it's gory detail than it being hidden.

Yep. It's a 'thing' to type a title or series of words and hide a link behind them. I've done it myself in the past. Now not my thing but we are an inclusive bunch with optional buttons...

It could have taken you to a gallery of Barry Haynes posing in his mankini.
But yes, I know if you hover over it in windows the actual link pops up in the bottom corner. I'm just old and crotchety and don't appreciate having to maake the effort. lol. I don't think you can hover on a phone though?

You aren't the only old and crotchety individual on here Zed! You're perceptive in that I use my phone and not the Mac as a preference. I should try and be less grumpy but life gets chuffing annoying enough outside of our 'escapism' to have to deal with it here. I crave simple and transparent in my downtime.
Lite Steer looks cool though having said that. I notice the huge difference as we are lucky enough to be able to swap between T3 power steering, T3 non power, Bay and Beetle. Beetle is the best but the T3 non power is a close second. Turing circle of a London taxi apparently.
    Bay is crap..

  7. I must say I'm tempted by a Litesteer. Old Snots the bus is a joy to drive...apart from the low-speed steering. I've got used to manhandling it 70s-stylee, but it's not much fun.

Yeah, we don't have a modern vehicle so kind of deal with what we have. Better low speed in the bay would be good, but to be honest it's nice to see the purple faces of folk who have to wait 30 seconds for us to complete a tight 3 pointer

I drove one once with my sceptics hat on but it was brilliant, I couldn't fault it. This thread has got me thinking too, £1k and a lazy day to fit isn't too bad and I do mostly use mine for local driving, shopping and whatnot, I've been noticing the heavy manoeuvring more and more - it didn't bother me when I was younger.

  15. Maybe someone needs to approach the lite steer folks and ask how much for a group buy?

Hmm, well I won't be the one fronting up £10k and distributing them but good idea, I'd have one and any saving is a saving.

Still waiting for the dip stick boots...but I'll sort that one now by saying that bus-ok.de won't ship to the UK!
I tried with my EORI number but it's too much hassle for them...

This was me , bad accident about 10 years ago, really struggled with things but for the van this was a total win:) as you say if it’s local trips then the benefit is multiplied, we don’t spend many of our miles on motorways , but even then it’s far easier.

I once drove a 2.8 Granada ghia (70's) with power steering that was full on at all speeds, it was bliddy dangerous on the motorway. Doesn't yours deactivate at speed?
