I bought mine from Germany after a lot of research - I wanted something that was quick and easy to put up but which left me with a good view out of the van on fine days. It's call the Pico - http://www.dwt-zelte.de/en/products/mobile-camper-tents/pico/ - and was a lot cheaper in Germany than the UK. I'm also thinking of making my own longer term, as it does take longer than just pulling up and cracking open a beer would. When wet I store it on my roof rack (not in this pic), when dry it's on the top of the gear inside for easy access first thing.
We bought the JK pop-up awning which they no longer sell for some reason!!! It takes just minutes to peg down the four corners, step inside and push the roof up It then takes a further half an hour to peg it all down & unload the van into it
I can't find it either now - I'll have a look when I am not at work, but I think it was about £130 delivered. And I think it was actually bought from zeltdepot? It was great service FWIW, delivered within a week despite them saying they couldn't commit to a two week delivery time!
Heres some photos of our van with the awning .... Vango Idris Airbeam 2015 We think its fab ...has made a real difference to our trips away. Folds away into a large sportsholdall sized bag and goes up in about 15 minutes.
