It's usually the parts that VW didn't fit that cause me to breakdown. The first one was a beam adjuster, the second was the wire to the fuel relay, neither were OEM
I do like the look of them ( possibly it was yours on Gusbus that I’ve seen at techenders) but I’m not convinced about cutting notches in the original pedal: surely they should just fit? Interested to see how you sorted yours or if there is a version that is actually the right width .
It may have been Gusbus. I had a look at Major, we didn't notch the accelerator pedal at all and using a mirror it looks like the threaded lugs pass either side. What I can say is that both ours came from CoolAir, if that makes a difference. I didn't have time to take it off and get a good photo, sadly.
Ah thank you for looking. You'd definitely know if the lugs were sitting proud of the pedal and not comfortably 'over' either side - it would be impossible to fit and very wobbly. Maybe Coolair have a different manufacturer. I might message them and ask, just to see. Cheers m'dear
I don't remember you having a massively misshapen club foot. Why does one 'need' such a beast? ps - @Lasty and I saw two of them screwed to the wall of our new best friend's garage!
It has been said that I have two left feet.... Thanks, I'll take that as a compliment But really I just want to be hip and cool and down with the kidz and who doesn't love a big bare foot shaped accelerator pedal?!
This foot adds nothing but weight and complications. Sack it off. Just because you have one doesn't mean you should fit it
It certainly seems that way! It doesn't fit, and VWH have agreed to a return so it's not being fitted - but I'm now intrigued to know if any actually do fit a camper, and if so, who and how. Mark has two fitted, so obviously they did at some point fit, but not now - or different companies sell different ones (which would be unusual) I do still like 'em though.
