My old man had the van's one done by a nice man in B & Q on Sloper Road Cardiff. He was so pleased he took his Cortina there too - OAX 545 X - that was when it was 2 years old. Unsure if the guy is still there though.
do you mean Gaz & Shaz I've seen some kits on ebay but not sure how good they are its a pretty cheapo way of splashing your reg all over your bus and making it slightly harder to move on
I brought an "uber secure" pedal lock. I'm guessing an thief could get passed it and people have their opinions how good they are......... but for £20, just trying to slow them down.
i'd be upset if mine got nicked but agreed value 15k..... i could buy a really nice '68 deluxe tintop for that. the keys are in the kitchen draw, my address is......
My Nigerian staff in the hangar, warned me that my new bus WOULD be nicked. ( In 1976 all the Lagos taxi's were VW kombi busses). I got a vibro etch tool, and etched my registration number on each window glass, the rear lights, and front indicator lenses, etc. A few months ago "Evil Ben" who is currently doing my full resto, told me.......we stripped off the underseal on the left chassis rail...........and uncovered your Lagos registration, as clear as anything!! Tony
It's two channels of metal that clamps the brake and clutch pedal using the steering column to stop them being depressed. My vans over in my lockup so can't get you picci unfortunately.

That's what we were saying Sunday, crap gear selectors are the best security on most buses, even makes nicking them with the keys difficult! When mines worth taking it'll be chained to an upright in a barn, and hopefully have some contraption to lock the engine lid securely, I've welded my initials into the chassis, but that wont stop it being pinched!
Anyone used these. http://www.alpha-dot.co.uk/ I remember it being all the rage years ago when I rode motorbikes. There was also a chip that could be glued inside the petrol tank that the police can read with a scanner.
Mine's in a locked garage that's behind 8ft high locked gates. In front of the gates are mine and missus R's cars blocking the way. Reckon if someone got passed that little lot and managed to get away then fair play!!
Do your best to prevent people knowing what you have. I keep my garage doors closed when working on it so people passing on the road can't look in. I've planted a hedge between the road and garage but that will take a few more years before it is tall enough. I have a black curtain pulled tight across the window so people might think the garage was just dark. White curtains look like they are pulled across to hide something nice inside. If they don't know it's there they can't take it. When you park up in public my best advice is to put a big chain through the steering wheel and loop it under the seat . Most of these types of thefts are opportunistic. There's also no point in doing this when it's parked in your garage and then leaving a grinder on the bench beside it. Think like a thief would and then figure how to prevent them
