In the light of the van thefts that seem to keep occurring , how do folks keep their vans secure? Both at home and whilst away? Immobilisers? wheel clamps? steering locks? tracking devices? secure garages with CCTV & big padlocks? I'm sure the would-be thieving b?s?a?ds will go for the easy option so anything we can do to put them off has got to be a good thing.
I pull into my drive as normal and park with the rear facing the road........no way anyone is finding reverse in my bus
It's alright to have all these gadgets when it parked outside your house, you would need a trailer to cart it about if you go any where, the thing is if someone wants to nick it they will, Your best bet is to have the scuffiest van you can find the sort no one would want to be seen in, Steve,
Me ? 2 very big/heavy wheel clamps fitted, remove rotor arm and centre lead, disconnect batt. ,pull wires from coil, chain round throttle pedal, and (purists look away now)I have fitted a hasp/padlock to add to security to engine hatch,( running a "rat") and cars usually parked in manner blocking a tow away /lift job, imo these vehicles must be nicked by peeps that have sold them on prior to theft, in Scotland anyway, due to not so many about on a daily basis.i.e. easiest place to hide a tree is in a forest ?last Sunday there was an impromptu bus rally in Scotland ,well, was looking out window and TWO campers went by !omg !
In days of old people would have asked me " what caliber of tommy gun and which frequency the radio alarm worked off , can't get the same quality of geeks these days
paradox takes his to bits and stores bits in the front room in front of the fire and the rest in scotland
i remember in my youth they used to do it on supermarket carparks, now they just fix chips..... bring back window etching! and gary and sharon sun strips!
I could tell you what security I have, but then I'd have to kill you. And that would make an awful mess on the carpet.
