You’re doing your best to get the builders involved but they’re not biting sadly. How about cab drivers? Surely there’s one of two prepared to go out on a limb in the name of entertaining us humble onlookers?

  4. You have just spent 4 days in a field in the middle of nowhere in a 40 year old van while a gale blew and temperatures barely reached double figures. Sounds pretty unhinged to me;)

    It was great though:D

As I explained to a colleague , one of the best bits of being a software engineer is that nobody (apart from other software engineers) can see the noddy mistakes you made that resulted in the expensive tether cable that got kinked or the steel reinforced drive belt that snapped..( while testing new code not for general release)

  13. No, that's the only best bit about being a software engineer.

  14. The parts that say.... it isnt a fixed installation and an extension lead is appropriate. ***** on both accounts. For some reason i thought you was a spark. Must have got confusled!

Is that an appliance inlet or a socket?

  16. Yes, must have - because since when has an extension lead camping accessory been covered by the Wiring Regs? I think your confusing Regs with PAT testing.

  18. eh?

it my elec hook up - there's a flap to keep it clean when not being used, not all of them have that but for one fitted outside the bus it's a better option than the "open" type

Make sure you have the right inlet socket the one on the van should be male and have pins exposed.
