Has anyone else noticed the increase in ( extreme ) right wing postings on FB?

  1. I used to have to have a GB sticker on my car if I went abroad :D

  2. i knew a lot of the scunthorpe united supporters/thugs ... they never went for the match just the fights afterwards. some of them still get together at away matches and meet up for fights. it makes me laugh as they're all pushing 50 and dragging their bellies along :D

I think they had their own name/gang... which makes me think they probably just wanted to belong and be accepted somewhere. bless. :D

I sometimes see that as wanting to belong to something rather than just being content to be part of something.

I never see the need to fly the flag unless we have achieved something fantastic. Which we don't seem to have done for a while. Hopefully we will win the world cup now we've beaten Tunisia.

  4. I agree with this, when I went to the States a couple of years ago, we stayed with a family in their house, everyone in the neighbourhood had a stars and stripes outside, there's nothing wrong with pride in your country ... here you fly a flag the first reaction is you must be a right wing bigot.

More English celebrate St Patrick's day than St George's day, given that a few Irish wanted to blow us up it seems a bit strange

  7. isn't that because it's a legal requirement? or at least it used to be.

In fairness people should be proud of their flag, but previously the National Front used the union jack far too much in their marches and debased it in some people's minds. It was very powerful propaganda. Just google NF march and see what I mean.

In America the extreme right wing usually wave the nazi swastika flag, and spare the national flag the indignation.

The GB sticker always made me laugh as the GB number plate stuck out like a sore thumb compared to other European styles.
