Or is it just me and the group of friends I have?

If that is so, then I must start deleting a few. I cba'd to argue with morons over the implications of their posts!

I've blocked quite a few, I'm not interested in their right wing or conspiracy theories.

  3. I agree !!
It really depends on weather I’m standing in my left wing or Right wing of the house
Or am I just being stupid

I admit that majority of my friends, both IRL & on Farcebook are usually somewhere to the left of centre.

To be frank. I have always been of the thinking Voltaire was right when he wrote. ' I disapprove of what you say,but will defend to the death your right to say it' however. I think he attributed the power of reasonable thought to the people he was addressing. Not the group of friends I have on FB.

Too many ex paras, and their wives I think.

  12. Whilst TLB was off I lurked around a few other forums and was shocked at some of the posts but to be fair most seemed to get shot down by others. I think you should put extreme right wing tho', don't want to upset Bazza :)

Yes, you're right I should have put extreme right wing ( even ill thought out stupidity aimed at no one in particular, but vile and offensive to a lot ).

What a lot of my ( Cyber friends ) forget is, my wife is Italian, my children are half Italian, the stuff they say about immigrants would have been the stuff they said about Italians and Irish when they came here. My family are hard working British people that care and help more in our community than most. It just upsets me to think these so called friends, some of whom come to my house and eat, hold these views. What do they think when they leave my house with bellies full of the most delicious Italian food and wine.

Probably. That Malc goes on a bit!

  16. I think that a lot of people with these views don't necessarily think about what they're saying. They just seem to spout on about the same stuff the others do. I bet a lot of it isn't exactly thought through. I'm sure your friends wouldn't think of offending your missus.

  17. I also think that whilst people class immigrants as outsiders, I fear most only think about the tone of their skin which makes them racist not right wing. I suppose I could be generalising here.

  20. PT to answer your question no haven't noticed an increase, must be the company you keep. To be honest my facebook friend list is kept trimmed right down and I only keep them on the list if they are people I would find the time to meet for a beer in the real world. I find the easiest way to establish their motive for friending is to send them a message via messenger and see if they respond if they don't and they have 300+ facebook friends they soon get de-friended. Harsh but fair :p
