This is my current lot. The arch top guitar is a Bellini, believed to be 60s. I do have the bridge, tailpiece etc. Machine heads were knackered though so trying to source decent vintage ones to replace them with.

Classy isn’t it Snots? We only moved in a few months ago, decorating will happen at some point ;)

  5. That's a relief. I was going to jump in the car and come round with my wallpaper table.

PS Those skirting boards could do with a lick of paint as well...

Pretty straight for both of them, but I am by no means an expert. I was never a particularly great bass player - more enthusiasm than talent - and I should really sell them now as they have become mere decorative dust gatherers, but ………

  9. Wasn't nagging ;). They look great, but (as you know) if they're hanging on the wall etc as decoration, changes in temp, damp can play havoc with necks. Be a shame if they warped.

    No nagging offence taken!
It's a bit of a worry, and I'm not entirely sure how best to store them... one is on it's side with the neck gently supported, and the other stands upright; the strings aren't under any tension. I hope it's not killing them :( I should sell..... but...… They're not worth that much so I'm not going to be able to retire if I do!
@Jack Tatty if I ever do, you have first refusal.

  13. Couple of guitar hangers screwed to the wall? I'd also tune the strings up to normal tension, otherwise the truss rods (if they have them) will be trying to pull the necks backwards.

Did used to have them hung in my last flat, but not since. Fair point about the string tension, I’ll maybe get the tuner out tomorrow and frighten the neighbours

  15. Want me to give you an E to start with?

    "Mmmmmmmmmmmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmmmmmmmmmm"

Think you were a bit flat there Snots. Have you tried gargling with honey and lemon? Kiri Tikanawa swears by it. Or is it just Kiri Tikanawa swears....like a navvy, I can’t remember.
