Having played @bernjb56 's gs mini a few years back I can confirm it is really great. However, Bern, that Strat is a real beaut. I do like a rosewood fingerboard and that big 70s style headstock.

Nice necro-thread. I'd add some photos of my gear but it seems that I don't take photos of it

This is my current gigging kit
    2012-02-05 18.27.15.jpg
Squier P-bass Special fitted with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder pickups and a Hipshot drop tuner
    Fender Rumble v3 500 combo
    Boss GT-6B multi-effects pedal

    Other basses:
    Rickenbacker 4003
    Gibson Thunderbird
    Aria Pro II SB-1000
    Fender Jazz fretless (Mexican)
... but I prefer playing the Squier

Plus a bunch of guitars :)

Edit: Doh, wrong photo. I meant this one...
    2012-02-05 18.26.36.jpg
... where you can actually see the amp and pedal

Edit 2: Except of course that's my old Peavey Databass combo. Double-doh!

More of a one at a time man myself. I had one of the first Jaguars, feb 62, for almost 40 years. I loved that guitar but had to sell it for the money a couple of years ago. I could buy it back but.... Now have a modern American Strat which is ok but not a patch on the old one on which I could do no wrong. I suspect a Srat copy for £80 would be as good. This one needs a bit of care to play compared to the Jaguar and a 60's Strat I once had which sounded great however clumsy I was. Maybe I will buy the Jaguar back one day, that was the deal.
    No pedals, no amp.
