Gibson Les Paul custom shop three pick up with bigsby.
They were for the European market only and a limited run of 25 made.
    I’m a very happy boy:chewie:

I made these. The thinline tele was my first and is mine. Then I made the LP Jr double cut for my guitarist.

I'm actually a bass player btw, and my gigging weapon of choice is a cheap Indonesian Squier P-bass special. It's just a lovely instrument

  5. Got this boss rc300 not working looper recently for the cheap , 80 € had a blown power fuse and a bad momentary button. All good now ! BE41E8EA-5B1A-4980-A49E-A3B203CF65AF.jpeg

    They look nice Norris.
You guys (and gal) put me to shame. There are gert chunks of lacquer bashed off mine and it's only a few years old. I had to shave some wood out of the neck socket yesterday because even with extreme violence the neck was pointing the wrong way. Fender are are a steady downwards slope.

By the time you have found a sound you liked, you had completely lost any inspiration..

I have a Mexican strat from the 90’s, and it’s been fine to be honest. Although I wouldn’t mind a 70’s American one obvs

Usually just slackening the neck screws a tad and then giving it a bit of encouragement (i.e. a darned good yank) is enough to get the neck aligned

    Where was it made?

USA. It's an American standard. The neck socket so tight I could barely get the neck out. Any possible adjustment was the wrong direction. Usually I would just give it a good crack with the heel of my hand without loosening anything...that just split the finish... but it's just a tool to me.

    Blimey. What year? Recent?

  12. That's the peril of too many electronic gizmos. Django Reinhardt didn't seem to need them. And he only had two fingers.

I had one of those, brilliant at the time. Now I use Briscati M7 samples in a convolution reverb.

About 5 years old. Buying a used fender is like buying a bay window isn't it? I wasn't prepared for months of driving around checking them out so stupidly bought a new one.

I had a Mexican one a few years back from Mannings (sadly no longer there) in Bradford. I actually went in to get a Squire but the one they had was a bit crap so bought the MIM instead. Fantastic guitar but I sold it on. Have a ‘98 US Strat now which is superb. Love Strats, great work horses

Yep, they are a nice guitar IMO. My mate had an old American strat years ago, 60’s I think, that was ace.

squires always feel a bit flimsy to me in comparison.

  17. I have a few guitars. Learnt to play when I was a lot younger and then kind of just stopped a few years back, built up a nice collection but feels so sad not playing them much.

I’ve actually decided recently to sell my Gibson Les Paul 2004 Goldtop but not sure the best place to sell it yet, don’t really want to do eBay.

This is Gibson SG and Vox amp I bought in 2016

@GTE88 Has your SG got a neck like a tree trunk? In the 70's when I was young there was always at least one in the second hand shop for about £60-80 because few people got on with them...except classical guitarists! A bit animal compared to your Les Paul? I had a 25th Anniversary Les Paul Custom in 1978 with the tiny thin frets, almost fretless, it was a machine! But in the end what made me swap it for a 62 Jaguar... which is now gone and I lament frequently, a very expressive guitar.

At one time, for under £100 I had an AC30 and two AC15s. Piercing tone until turned up full which was very very loud, even the 15's.

I wonder why we gravitate to particular guitars. I always wanted a Les Paul when I was in my teens because Jimmy Page was my hero.... if Ritchie Blackmore had been I’d probably have been into Strats much earlier.
