If I recall Hamilton was warned by the team for exceeding and responded to say he didn’t think there were any. To then drive accordingly and be passed then of course he’s going to say something... if that’s what he did (I’m not aware of that). That said it’s the stewards that apply the rules, not Hamilton so not sure why you say that. The run offs are for safety so why penalise in a race unless an unfair advantage is gained . Track limits are to...denote the track. If they were exceeded in qualifying then that would provide an unfair advantage or everyone would have to do it. It’s pretty obvious really. I take it your not a Hamilton fan then?
He hasn’t accepted it and he’s whinging about it today as predicted. I’m certainly not a fan of him yet.... Ive certainly admired some of his drives but then again Hamilton used to get on my wotsits with his whinging. Perhaps it’s just a part of the sportsmanship and I just don’t like that!
Hamilton and others were using the run off area to gain a time advantage, until they were warned not to. I think gaining time is an unfair advantage over those that remain within track limits whether it is a passing manoeuvre or not, but I appreciate that it would be near impossible to implement the rule any other way. I’m not a fan of Hamilton or anyone else. Hamilton is the best driver in the best car, and has been for many years, including 2016 when Rosberg won the drivers championship. I’d just like to see other drivers win, that’s all. And maybe Mercedes don’t have the best car this year – time will tell.
Just found this video on Twitter A young Ayrton Senna on BBC in 1985 just before the British Grand Prix https://twitter.com/i/status/1416299127441436672
I've been to around 14 GP... When it was good .. pre 98 probably some races were epic... Having watched many more MotoGP races You can see how much F1 has lost its way..
YAWN, YAWN ,YAWN . Like all other sports. Over paid over rated over opinionated people involved. Might just as well replay another years race cause there all the same. Why cant we televise , how to organise your garage, how to make a fence panel from scrap etc etc, then i would perhaps watch tv.
That's true artb, thats probably why i watch you tube far more than the tv, especially as ive installed an adblocker on you tube i dont even watch the adverts. (if you haven't instaled one .its a must piece of software )
And now we have a pre-race race where they’ll probably all be trying to stay in the same position as where they started so they don’t lose grid position for the proper race.
Agreed , it's getting pathetic and gone beyond the whole ethos of 'racing' . All these tweaks are to improve the interest and the latest one i saw was a mock up car for next years aero regs which are designed to allow the chasing cars to get closer without the dirty air causing instability , turns out some naughty teams have been designing their aero package to also create a 'dirty air' pocket to keep the pursuers at arms length... Along with the over enthusiastic ' stewards ' it's getting beyond a joke , the whole series has probably become the worse racing series ....... EVER Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
He flat-spotted it on his spin. They are probably going to need an emergency dentist to replace his fillings, as well as the mechanics sorting the car out
OUCH .... Glad to see him getting out of the car as the on-board camera showed 'shhtapen motionless for quite some time . Just watching them removing the car from the barrier - jeeez Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
