  1. Monza: What an absolute bell end Verstappen is.

He'd been passed. He knew he had no chance of overtaking, there was no space to get past, so rather than go via the escape road, decide to have a crash with the mercedes.. ggrrr. Halo is the only reason Hamilton is not in hospital or worse. His response is that the other guy should have given him room? Really..?

3 place grid penalty for russia is not punishment enough. Hamilton would have likely gone on to win that race if he had not been rammed given the obvious speed advantage the mercs had at monza, so he's lost potential 25 points.

Reminds me of senna approach - either i'm coming through or we're both having a crash. It was controversial back then and verstappen just looks like an idiot trying both in having the crash in the first place then trying to blame hamilton afterwards. Horner also should have taken it on the chin and said his boy made a mistake, instead of calling it a racing incident.

    Hamilton could of given space
    Max could of backed off
The curb could be flattened so as not to launch a car up

lots of coulda, if he pulled it off he would of been called a hero

At the end of the day it’s racing and both of them are proper racers,
The stewards said about the same but decided that Max wasn’t far enough along side this time
next time it could be Hamilton.

  3. The fact that Horner called it a racing incident pretty much confirms that Verstappen was the guilty party!

I agree. 3 place penalty is not enough. He could have seriously injured Hamilton.

Sometimes it's like he thinks he's on a computer sim rather than a real race

  5. I've watched it a couple of times, looks like H leaves lots of room at the point of turn in, but it's his corner (he's ahead) so its within his right to have the racing line. Same happened to H earlier in the race and he had a trip through the escape lane. There is no reason why V could not have also done the same. That's why they have escape lanes.

    Yes.
or gone through the escape lane like other drivers did multiple times during the race.

Only one driver managed to launch their car off these kerbs, out of 20 participants doing 50+ laps. I don't think you can blame the kerb personally. Issue was that V was aiming his car like a missile at Hamilton when it took off..

Only he didn't.. so i'm calling him something else :)

disagree, i think a proper racer would have backed off and seen it as a better option to finish second and get the points. Only a **** would have decided to use his car as a weapon to smash his opponent's car so that he can't continue to victory.

In fact, *last* time it *was* Hamilton (10 second penalty at Silverstone).

Funny, at silverstone Max had his knickers in a twist because Lewis was celebrating after the race, rather than checking that Max was ok. When max literally parked his car on Lewis's head, did he check he was ok/ not dead/ seriously injured /make sure he could get out? No. He just walked away. Says it all really.

  6. Great result for McLaren though.. well deserved. Bottas was on fire too, Toto should sack him more often :)

  7. Agreed , Bottas has finally grown some - stopped playing the team game showing his quality.
His car looked smoother than most in the corners by not taking as much kerb and unsettling the car , big kerbs at Monza ....

I agree Max was wrong, should have taken to the escape lane and is a bit of a Richard.

I think he did have a cursory glance and Hamilton was revving the nuts of the Merc and weaving the steering to get it free. I think he said after that it was better to walk away and not have an argument there and then

Nice spicy championship tho!! I think Hamilton really has to be at his best to maximise the penalties Max has and hope for Bottas being a bit more compliant!

I think Hamilton also really needs to get this 100 race win out of the way… he’s like Alistair Cook stuck on 99!

  14. I keep hearing that Verstappen’s car was launched up onto Hamilton’s car through contact with the kerb. It was contact between their tyres that launched it up onto Hamilton’s car.

  17. Don’t think anyone on the current grid could get away with a “Sex - the breakfast of champions” patch.

  18. BRILLIANT....

I had plenty of time for Hamilton up until about 10 years ago when he went all Gangsta fashionable and lost the plot ...

  20. Red Bull engine change for max at Sochi means starting at the back. He also has a 3 place grid penalty to add to that which means he's, er.. still starting from the back. So effectively the grid penalty has just gone away/ no penalty at all?
