Its been so boring for years, Prost, Mansell, Ayton were the days, they got on with it, now you cant fart without a penalty.
Not that I'm in favour of drivers being killed or seriously injured, but the fact that they can now crash at incredibly high speed with impunity has taken the edge off the "who has the biggest balls" angle. It's almost like a computer game these days - you crash at 150mph and walk away. I'm not sure I'd walk away from a crash at 30mph in the camper!
Ok prediction? Lewis gets off the line better. Max drives straight into him. Both out, all over in 30 seconds. Max is champion.
That would make Lewis champion as they are deducting points for whoever causes a crash. More like 1st corner squeeze & Lando ploughs into both of them Or Cheko takes Lewis out for a Verstappen win.
I think with the tyre difference it’s difficult to call. I reckon Max into the first corner and leading the first stint, unless Ham back get him under DRS in the first few laps. Wouldn’t rule out a late brake and flat spotting those soft tyres into the first hairpin Early pitstop for Max for hard tyres and then an offset tyre race. Max might find himself stuck amongst some reasonably quick ferraris and McLarens on mediums This could set up a late confrontation with Lewis chasing down on newer hard tyres. Or Max goes soft, medium, soft vs Ham medium / hard… they again meet at the end! The tyres make it more intriguing, if they had been on the same I would have said Ham easy win. Good launch and inside line into the first corner from second. Or it could all be a damp squid.
