I wish Ham was forced to give up the gap he gained via the Max lunge on lap 1. Then we’d have seen more of a race at the start. He was long down the track and red bull thought they would be getting the place back so didn’t press so hard?
Max didn’t deserve the win today but he deserves to be world champion this year. I don’t expect Lewis fans to agree.
H was 11 seconds ahead. V wasn't making that time up, even with new tyres. Then safety car and then suddenly they are neck and neck for one lap of racing. Absolute nonsense. H should still have been 11 seconds ahead for the final lap.
The last lap was the only exciting bit of the race (okay, I miss the first 15 laps burning the van and rolling it in to the canal). Yes, it seems like the Race Director wanted some racing to finish things off so he bent the rules a bit - I was suprised that H let V get so close to him so quickly, apart from better tyres I think V caught H napping a bit.
You just couldn’t make that up Bring back the racing of old. Did they rip up the rule book? The stewards need to take a long look at their selves.
Get rid of the run off areas and have nice deep gravel would really be the best thing to happen. Nice deep soft gravel.
Ever felt cheated? Like somebody was making the rules up as they went along? So it would seem the championship will be decided in the stewards' room. It's unlikely to be overturned, as they have already sprayed the rose water and got their Max champion t-shirts wet. The sport lost out today The one saving grace was that of Hamilton. There are not many people who would have displayed the grace and maturity he did
