  5. Apparently around 25% of professional players remain unvaccinated through choice. Was discussed on the beebs the other day (in passing). Interesting eh.

interesting , wonder why, maybe they believe their age and fitness gives them protection

  9. Interesting depends on what stats you rely on here are the latest headline figures according to the Guardian. Noting that is with two doses. Anyway those footballers are fit young men and have fantastic immune systems.

  10. Reading @Dicky's article says only 59% of players are double jabbed

  11. it really was the first article i came across so don't take it as gospel but its in line with what id heard previously.

  12. Are the unvaccinated,
causing problems to anyone but themselves..

  13. Yes, coz the very seriously ill, which is more likely to be the unvaccinated are usually where the mutations occur.

  14. Given that I am a Pompey supporter I wonder what it is for the lower leagues?
Anecdotally yes ... there was a bloke on here earlier in the week with all the data for that

Daughter of last week’s customer tested positive but he was negative and I always wear my mask and hadn’t seen her. I ditched them and didn’t return until today just in case. 4 family members meant to be joining us Christmas Day are now not as have tested positive.

Customer who I went to after ditching previous customer just texted to say her daughter has tested positive  I was there today but only in the porch and the child was locked indoors as she likes to pester me! So crossed fingers or I will be two Christmas Days in a row self isolating. :(

Fortunately so far all positive testers have not been too poorly.

  16. 2 in a row... hope not. Unfortunately the rhetoric from the onset has been about beating the virus with timescales plucked from nowhere. Very early on an academic colleague who is a Virologist gave a lecture and indicated the likely span of the pandemic was 3 to 5 years and possibly up to 10. even at the shorter end of that people aren't prepared or advised and politicians wont say it as its political suicide! So we trundle on thinking everything will be fine next week or next month and each peak will be the last one. Its the approach the government took which parallels with the rhetoric of our great wars and the troops being home for Christmas!

And then we have a bunch of complete choppers on the internet who publish speculation as fact whether its anti vaxers, covid disbelievers, flat earthers ... who knows. Its clear that at least some who don't like the idea of being jabbed have jumped on the bandwagon knowing (or understanding) five fifths of f=== all. But have the ability to read and repeat what they see and perpetuate the myth to other stupid people! Yes, there are some intelligent, nay intellectual anti-vaxers who sound like they put up a convincing argument and sound knowledgeable. I had a good friend telling me the other day about RNA and DNA modification and how we were all just part of a big experiment and how wrong that was etc. and I considered what he said and gave it some credence but he's not a virologist or an immunologist so i just let it lie.

Its a little like a group of us being in a dark cave with a number of bears all of differing sizes and ferocities but they will attack you if you stay! An attack might leave you wounded or possibly ripped limb from limb or you may avoid it altogether. The remains of poor unfortunate souls lay all around! There's one entrance to the cave and you can see the bright sunlight illuminating it. Now you can stay in the cave and risk injury or worse or run towards the light and escape into the sunlight and safety.... then, someone tells you if you go out into the light its dangerous as you might get sunburn! Indeed the whole thing is a plan by the establishment who control the supply of sunblock and therefore will control the masses. So you stay... really?

  17. Yes they are causing problems to the nhs for starters!

  18. Is that a fact...?

  19. Perhaps we should just scrap the NHS
And just pay for our own healthcare,
Maybe then we would all see what is going on
There is no point thinking someone will always
Look after us, and We can do what I want,
and we might learn to respect ourselves,
Anyone who lives with NHS staff knows what I mean,
Just behave and do the right thing
We have enough information given to us
Even if our government doesn’t know what to do with it.;)
    However
Please please please just um er do um,
That was just a very um um err important meeting
And um um err I don’t really care as long as you vote for me next time ,
I still think that you are um um err stupid
And I I err you you will all see that when we have err won the next general election
