Suppose you're right, will watch for the pitstops as i belive Mclaren have had a reshuffle in the pit crew after recent "errors".....
Only just read this article about the Hamilton. I think I it is really harsh making him start at the back, and especially when some didn't even put in a time in Q3
Far too many rules that ruin f1 Safety rules are fair enough but some of the hoops the teams need to jump through are just daft
I think the 24 place drop is ridiculous, as he at least qualified higher than 10th legitimately. I think Whtmarsh noted that his next best time would have put him in 6th which would match a 5 place penalty... a normal approach surely!? I thought it funny that the BBC Website headlines were "Hamilton strip of Pole" and "stewards refuse to take a Zero tolerance approach" Hamilton will struggle to get in the top 10 on tyres alone, considering he ran in Q3 and used most of his tyres. I think Kimi is a strong choice, but Webber may be the man to watch in 11th tbh. He has a stash of fresh rubber, only used softs in Q1 & Q2 (IIRC) and the hards are highly regarded on this track.
I think it's laughable really, Hamilton gets a far to harsh penalty for going out and trying to entertain and get the best time possible yet others choose not to go out and save tyres. Surely everyone should be made to go out each qualifying session not only do people pay good money to watch but I'm sure some other teams would give their right tyre to be in Q3. Kind of giving up on f1 at the moment, it's almost like they are making up rule to cause news stories and keep up the media hype. It could have been such an exciting season without all this rubbish.
Def seem to punish hammy more harshly. Still should provide an interesting race, be good to see Williams back to winning ways, but think Kimi might win
after the last pitstop there will be another job going for a wheel changer out of the 600 odd people that work for them you would think they could get 8 to be able to change the wheels
Well done to Maldonado. He really soaked up the pressure from Alonso & beat him, great present for Sir Frank's 70th birthday.
Always like to see a new winner and for a Team like Williams who are on the fringes at the minute it's great.
good result happy for williams, button has to wonder whats going on that hamilton can beat him from last with crappy pit stops.... kimi is showing he means business couple more races for the win i reckon, red bull panic sets in?....
for those not watching after the race, there has been an explosion in the williams garage with a kers fault on sennas car i belive, mass fire and some injury reported.
I bit of a worry about the lack of fire crew Some of the pit crew had hoses but no water or kit There were people letting fire extinguishers off randomly into the air when the fire crew did turn up they where in shorts and only had a pick-up full of extinguishers
the bbc footage shows the rear of the garage, the front was also being dealt with as filmed on the sky site http://www1.skysports.com/formula1/video/12870/7754160
