  1. First Download but will definitely not be my last. Superb time and just what the pharmacist ordered :)

Chase & Status ripped it up. It was such a buzz working our way through the crowds down towards the front and seeing people bounce and everyone was on a top buzz. Really friendly and up for it crowd so i wasn't left feeling let down after reading that this was one of the more friendly festivals (take note IOW). The Prodigy smashed it and although i had already heard, Dogbite & AWOL on the Prodigy forums and FB pages, it was a buzz to hear them live but man alive Jetfighter was a first live play and it took my head off. Nice to see Master H upping his game and taking it to the next level. Met up with a shed load of mates off the forum and groups for the first time and it was like we were all friends that met up everyday (we do on FB and the forum but you get me). Danced my nuts off and got naughty :) Eddie Temple Morris played a banging warm up set for The Prodigy :) Sound system was poor but there is nothing a soundman can do to fight off the wind that ripped through the site that day.

I met so many cool people but was well surprised when a mate who was camping on my pitch brought, Pete Bennet, with him. He's the guy that won Big Brother, the one with touretts. He's a top bloke and so down to earth and sweet. I spent the weekend with him getting up to a lot of mischief :)

    Chaos and mayhem reigned :)

Met up with some truly amazing souls over the weekend and had such a buzzing time sitting in peoples tents and camps chatting the night away ;) From Gemma & the Jedi Jew to the Shruggers from Liverpool to Emily and her nutty crew it was amazing to to meet so many likeminded people. I am pleased to say i spent every night there up until 9 - 10am and out partied thousands upon thousands of youngsters. I'm hardcore me :) Spent a lot of time in the Dog House and the little ambient chill out bar with the Indian peace pipes. Played some banging tunes in there and was treated to a wicked set early Sat evening.

As for the mud! All these people that spent the weekend bitching and moaning should maybe go to a farm in Glasto and try farmland as opposed to a race circuit ;) Mind you having the luxury of the camper field and a swift exit from the arena and also out of the field on to the road did help a lot :)) I loved the mud to be honest. Looking at the campsite at 4am as the light was breaking was a right scene. It looked like a war zone. I genuinely do feel for the buggers though as i have had to go through that so many times over the years.

All in all a damm good weekend was had and I'm buzzing to say it almost had a touch of the old school vibe from the festivals in the early 90's. Lots of people bouncing, smiling away and just going for it.

Big shout out to the security guys and welfare mob that made sure i made it back to Rusty on Sunday morning ;)

Rusty cruised her way there and back with only the hitch of running out of fuel 5 miles from site after my refusal at paying £1.34 at the local garage  After 5 minutes standing there with a sorry look on my face a lovely and rather beautiful woman pulled up and went off to the petrol station for me with my jerry can. Happy days and topped the festival off rather nicely :)

  2. daz - great write up ... Eddy TM is a top bloke - he booked me for SGP last year and his xfm show is always amazing

  3. He played some really cool metal tracks but mixing them in with some heavy beats :) Made it feel more like a dance festival than a rock / metal festival.
