Double cabs from Sweden * New name *

Hello boys n girls !

It´s been a while but anyway .. I´m sitting here with my friend mr. Jägermeister and thinking about some mods for the summer.

The props for the full army/airforce transformation is in the garage but what about turbo.. I´ve got the most parts and also the knowledge , I think.. : I got friends who has atleast, but do anyone know a english, or other, build thread for some more inspiration !? Not a race engine , I´, thinking more to get it to work with the original injection system and a low turbopressure for just some hp´s and the sound of course..

 

No response of my turbo thoughts... OK, we´ll see how I do.

Anyway, took out the Mean Green Machine from the barn for a spin in the really lovely wheather, : + 2 degrees, heavy rain and icy roads.. And I loved it ! ;D

Next time it comes out on the roads it´ll be in it´s new suit !

 

Halfway there to a full Stealth mode...

Hello Boys n Girls !

Midsummer weekend here in Sweden and lovely weather ! 8) Going to a party later today and thought I would update this thread, it´s been a while...again...

I´m using the army truck for a daily driver now and it works really nice, no mechanic problems what so ever and how could I live without a car with a flatbed earlier... ?



And heres a present for you all ! The Next projekt..... mr Blaupunkt

Now I finally got it home ! ;D

After the usal struggle with all the problems with getting a car out of a field where it has been for twenty years or so,sunken and flat wheels, forgotten tools and cows around you we got it out. And it´s better then I thought actually... of course it needs some hours in the garage but... I´m pleased !







Nearly 20 cm higher... Maybe this thread will be transformed into `DC from Swe...` in the autumn but for now the blue will stand like a nice flower i my backyard !

Hello again !

Summer has passed, autumn is near. Old cars gone, new cars in.

But to begin I gotta show you the clip from Bus&Camper mag. I got a mail earlier in the summer from a editor or something from just B&C that they would like some info of my Stealth SC. And here it is, kind of fun to get published ,little or big, in a worldwide magazine..





And back to the summer, I just have been going and going around in my truck to shows and as a daily driver. Very cool and useful car.. but with a DC at home I been wondering about the SC .... Sell it ? Keep it? Do a serious restoration back to OG ? Or whatever...

But as i where sitting and looking in different ads for an possible change an Oval Beetle came up and with under five emails we has decided that we do an even change ! Quick n easy affairs ! And thats why i now got an ´56 Oval and the SC now is in Stockholm ! Nice but sad in the same time...



But on the positive side I now gotta do some dirty work in the wintwr on the DC to have an pickup ready for beach 2013 !

So, see you when I got the grinder and welder started ! >

What year passat steel wheels did you use and did they need any mods to fit?

The rims came from my brothers old Passat, I think it was a ´99 yearmodel. but they will probably fit anyway as long as they got 5x112 bolt pattern. The only mod I did was to make the centerhole bigger for the two in the front. I used a normal die grinder.

And now its on ! Projekt DoppelKabine !

I´ve just started the dirty work in the garage so there is not much to show yet but I will post here so you can see when, or if.. it happens anything.
