Debating on removing my spare wheel from the front of my Westy

  1. With you run the risk if some car park knob reversing into it. Without you'll have to do work on the panel to remove the extra holes or dents. Here is mine;

  8. Thanks mate helpful as usual! :)

  9. Cheers. I think it also helps if you put a decent cover on the front. The other half got ours made by the same people who retrimmed the interior with the same colours.

    Personally I think they look better without. So I removed ours. To be confronted with this...

    The letters are properly indented into the front panel & you can see the tyre is "tubeless"!!!
    The wheel has gone back on for now.............your choice!

  12. Loving the comments people!

    I do know just a little bit about campers... I just wanted opinions only because I was dead set on getting my van lowered the other day but may not now after hearing some other opinions about it.

    This is my 2nd bay window owned one 15 years ago used it as a daily driver, traveled around the UK at weekends in it and spent a fortune on it keeping it going until some ***** in Christchurch drove into the back of it and totally wrote it off!

    Had never been able to afford another one until now and am looking forward to going camping in it with my 4 year old daughter and er... also looking forward to sorting it out over the next year and hopefully putting it into some shows next year!

    Loved the photos people posted up too thanks for taking the time... Have a wicked weekend all!

  14. Yeah I prefer the wheel off too, funny enough I have been doing lots of bits to my camper since having it but haven't taken the wheel off the front yet, but will do next week as I am getting all of my wheels stripped blasted and powder coated so will see what it's like then... Cheers
