We’re fine chap. We don’t have to agree and I probably do get a little wound up by you from time to time. I reserve the right to bite and respond but possibly should refrain from being quite so abrasive. but that bloody Zed... proper wind up merchant....
@Dicky wound up by me really you should know me by now I don't take life too seriously I'm usually very chilled (too much time in my shed probably) , I take the ******* but I also take the ******* out of myself I take your point about winding people up about politics I know some people are very passionate as can be seen in some of our more colorful political threads, me I couldn't give a ***** really they are all as bad as each other but I'll be careful what I say in future
Like any keen Angler, Baz feeds a swim before casting a baited hook into it. And sometimes he hooks into something that puts up a fight. He’s just phoned me in floods of tears though. Could hardly get the words out between sobs; “Sniff, sob... they all ... sob...hate me!... it’s not fair... sob sob.. they’re all gang....sob, sniffle... ganging up on me!”
Why don't the mods/admin divide the General Discussion forum into subgroups such as Politics, Brexit, Religion, Sport etc. so that those who aren't remotely interested can avoid particular sections and those who want a good scrap can lay in without upsetting the rest of us. Oh and Fishing as well. Can't be anything more tedious than listening to anglers droning on about bivvies and crocs.
I think politics is ok if discussed politely in a general way devoid of single issues, named characters, political parties, elections, referendums, current affairs...
Now we know who they are, they're easily ignored. They need to come on down and make fools of themselves if they want to be taken seriously.
But for some football is a religion and politics is linked to their mental well being....categorising that lot? Sod that. I think we universally need a group we can all agree to hate, that will make us universally happy. I nominate Cross fit people. And Vegans.
