I ask myself - do I like it when people who don't know me tell me I can't do something that hurts nobody - not even myself? No I don't. Jobsworths, interfering, net curtain twitchers. Anyone who has nothing better to do than spoil other peoples dreams should take a long hard look at their own lives. >

If I was gay and christian I'd be outraged that I couldn't marry in a church if I wanted to. Then again, I doubt I'd want to other than for the photo opportunity as the church (older generation) are homophobes. Time will heal though and in 30 years time the old fuddy duddies will have died off.

 

Yup as Paley said. Look at American politics...practically governed by fundamental Christians.

Unfortunately, this kind of stuff has always been around since the dawn of time. Nothing really new in the world.

You're right in pointing out that the C of E is actually based around cakes and summer fetes, rather than any kind of deity.

 

Ha=ha - I admire George in a way and you're quite right. But so far he's a one off flash-in-the-pan, not the start of a trend.
