I use mine to switch the heater on from the house to defrost and preheat the van before I go out.

Like the underseat install as it'd save on the storage space, but not sure about the exhaust mounting. I'd have to doctor my non standard seat so it slides off.
Be good to see a couple of pics of the underside pipe cuts and exhaust.
Have you used the physically smaller 2KW heater or the larger 5kw heater?
