what lol you no me bern , its been sitting for 4 weeks doing nothing , then in 1 weeks we are here , to morrow , all goes well inside doors wings etc will be in colour , oh merry xmas to you and your better half and family
backs of the panels got rubbed with 500 paper then lashed with 4 coats of paint , pic heavey ive marked with a black marker where some dimples and marks need stoppered but looks good look at the difference of size of wing edge from original to pattern [/URL ] pin holes in bumpers welded
yes a mask first coats of colour hard to believe this is grey what a difference a fresh coat makes black is seam sealer
Im shocked at their lack of masks and also spraying whilst that space heater is blazing away Its nice to see you getting stuck into another project Merry christmas to you and the boys dude
] now its the turn of the bumpers and main body am so pleased so much done in such a small amount of time
You could make Tiny wear one. By the looks of the guy with a crap dust mask in his hand, but not wearing it, it's considered weak or uncool to wear one. Not a good example for the boy? Only bloke I know who took liberties like that retired at 45 because he couldn't breath. Needs oxygen the whole time now. Hard as nails though.
to day a spent a very short time on filling and fixing the bumpers , that are not in good shape , but now look a bit better , and in primer
today with some help (as am week as water with this flu bug )we moved the minor to the friends work shop . so i can keep on at it . quick look over and marked the ares to be filled , which is very little , 320 the body then fill , black marked areas are the parts to be filled dent marked wheel area looks big but just needs a light skimm look small even beside a fiesta
worked my why round panel by panel taping high spots in low out . fill sand refill , then had to weld in a new capitive nut for rear ds wing , final light skimm and ready to prime , first done the boot area tomorrow ill seam seal it before repriming took of the indicators and tryed them one is fine the other i use electrical contact cleaner to see how i get on
still sick as a pig can t seem to shift it . but still got more done , first seal seal the boot , then the floors sill joints etc etc , then out with dash pockets and doors , steering wheel and shaft , noticed that the handbrake cables need attaching , flattened down inside , and anything else i found . jacked up in bay took of wheels , to find again in credit to former owner he had fitted new drums as well as everything else ,brillant for me . masked of tomorrow its getting primed and painted inside, put doors on to see how good we could hang them , then off again run of seam sealer makes a massive difference to the look
This looks great. I've never had one but might be looking for a saloon for my sister in law next year. I'm hoping to find a very nice one for under 5 grand.
