FOR SALE 40.000 mile bay with full history!

  1. What people don't know, I had three no shows on Sunday and at least one bloke text to say he wasn't coming.
And how can people bid on a 36 year old van without even looking at it! And then if they win it come look at it and say they don't want it or don't pay.
I have three things on eBay that have been bought and not been paid for. :-(
I was offered £11.800 so I thought I would take it off. If it all falls through, it falls through.
The thing is I have more pm's because I took it off! I had 279 watchers and now five have come forward showing interest if the other deal falls through. :)

  2. great stuff ,good luck nice bus

  3. The serious bidders always bid at the end ,I have sold at least 10 buses on e bay and everyone turned up and payed ,most did not look at the bus ,also I have won a few buses on e bay and just sent drivers to pick it up...There is nowt worse than a re-listed bus popping up, you think the worst...A offer is just that and has no legal binding ...

I am afraid you bottled it ,you will never know how much you could have got ,ah well hope it all works out......:D

  4. I was considering a cheeky last minute bid as well, but hadn't seen it in the flesh. Having restored a bay 10 years ago, I know it is worth over £11,800. You should have waited til the end as you may have had a much better offer. If i had won the van, I would have put it straight back up for sale at well over £25k..................just to keep this thread going.

Van Quish please tell the buyer to join the forum and keep us up to date with the van's progress. Fingers crossed no one stacks it into a hedge!

  7. Never ,never end an auction early ,just plain stupid.

  8. I bid the £8000, but as I never was given a reason for the bid being cancelled, I would'nt bid again even though I would have a gone a bit higher.

  9. There's going to be a time when your going to have to let it go for what it's worth, instead of what you like.
Do you think this buyer will actually turn up and get this bus? Because if I wanted to buy a bus, I would be forcing a deposit upon the seller.
I wish you the best of luck, but I think your being very unrealistic in the sale of this old wagon.

10 years time it will be 46 years old? Mint 46 yo splitties don't even go for 50k do they?

Some do but that's kind of irrelevant.
    This ain't no splitty.

  13. I wouldent call £550 paying hard for it

  14. You have stummbled upon a nice bus at a cheap price and made a handsome profit
No problem with that but it will do you no favours boasting about it

  15. Sorry, I left a 0 off there! It owed me £5500, I have edited now. But you look out there and see how much these things go for, I recon she still got a steal. Even if it's a panel!

You bought some old gullible guys pride and joy for 5500 and then go advertising it for 20-25k, now in my book that is not very nice, putting it mildly!!
I certainly would not go gleefully boasting on a public forum.
