Still need to have throttle wide open (or carbs removed) so it's not restricting the inlet airflow. Unless it's fuel injected in which case I'll admit I don't know...
It is, the fuel pump is next to the dizzy, have you pulled the fuel line off the carb to see if you have fuel bring pumped up ?
I will do that but I presumed as it stank of petrol that it was ok. But that is another thing to check.
Yeah it's probably ok, at the minute my money's on it being flooded, whip the plugs out like I said Further up clean etc and give it another go, make sure you have a fully charged battery etc, until it's been running really properly a compression test won't tell you enough, you have enough compression for it to run ok, 6bar is low but not silly low, once it's running it will only be evident at idle and a bit low on power
just had a bit of a brainwave or an idea today, i did mess with the gear linkage / coupler to get the gears working, that might have slipped meaning i am trying to pull away in third maybe? worth a look. it feels like it is stalling when i try to pull away. i have mu whole body crossed that this is the remedy. PLEASE be the remedy. albeit a stupid one.
