Last time it was driveshaft bolts. I think I must've been guilty that time too. I've started marking up all my torqued bolts now - thanks to @theBusmonkey for that lesson.

Every time I accelerated/decelerated the gearbox moved enough that something tapped quite loudly - gave it away!

Mainly unloading it from it's use as a shed. Some heavy stuff in there!
    Main culprits were
    50L coolant for boat
4 trailing arms and front hubs
    A narrowboat stove flue
    50kg of dead batteries
Probably 150-200kg of stuff in all - it'll go faster now, it's been like driving around with 3 adult passengers on board.

Finished Mk.1 install of 99 programmable intermittent wipe relay.
Have now got a switch that goes off-intermitent-slow. (The fast setting didnt really go much faster ever, usually slower)
And the wiper blades park properly at the end of any wipe cycle.
Needed one extra diode because I had an electric screen wash, and I am additionally using the screen wash pin T to make the wipers run constantly.
Quick blip of screen wash get a single wipe, longer wash gives three wipes, screen wash forever wipers keep running.

Motor always powered via the relay, (hence the proper park at the end of any wipe) .

The wiper switch now only feeds inputs on the relay, getting rid of the high resistance issue I saw.
No wire cutting, just spade connected cables added.

Details in a howto after more testing..

Drove from the Isle of Skye to Applecross via Belach na Bas…

Never again, that was scary, thick with fog and raining but Major flew up there, had to reign him back in places.

The new hydraulic stay thingies arrived in the post, so replaced the very old knackered ones. No more will the lids of my sink and cooker fall down and cause potential finger loss :)

  19. Spent a profanity-laden two hours wondering why my driver's door locking still wasn't doing its thing properly. Previously blamed crap Taiwanese cable, but prob proved to be bizarre threads in the clamp that kept letting go. All fixed, now popping up and down like a popping thing.

Spent the usual half hour getting the lock back in, as I'd forgotten The Knack. Again.

  20. Have you considered that you may be going slightly barmy, Mark? Like putting the kettle back in the fridge instead of the milk? A…friend did that. Not me, obvs.
