The missing spare wheel well makes plenty of space to mount the heater there using a bracket/box to hang from the engine bay roof?
@baygeekster this is an ideal spot, if you have nothing already there... If you have any of the old ducting from the old heating system going up to the front, you could use that to get the heat up the front
Yes, I had considered that - and therefore have both air intake and outlet coming out into the cupboard that is just over the top of that. There is a leisure battery in that side's battery tray too though, so I will need to do some measuring to see if it fits. Does the tank have to be higher than the heater?
No heater can be higher that the tank. As mine is in my shed it just takes longer to prime. Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk
I’ve yet to start fitting mine, had it since April,I have read that for under slung heaters there is a particular way up that they should not be fitted as diesel or condensation gathers inside it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Forgot to mention I’m just about to change the silencer to Marine quality one and hopefully that will reduce the db Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I have been tasked with fitting an unbranded heater that looks identical to these, only the instructions have been lost… does anyone have a copy they could take photos of please? TIA
Drill 2 big holes 4 small ones, job done Keep the power wires as short as you can. Ditch the flexi green fuel pipe if you have it and get the rigid white stuff, use proper rubber pipe for the joins as the black joint stuff does not last a year. Well mine didn't
You have PM As we are talking heaters again, a link to my latest map of where to buy cheap Kerosene and Red Diesel to power the heaters. Edit updated to the January version https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1QnfW4XIaiK5YM86TYZz1CK7ZX72de4pJ&usp=sharing
@3901mick what is the rigid white stuff you speak of? I just had 1 of these delivered and it’s got the crappy green pipe. Cheers
Like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175119333762 The rubber joining pieces are pants, get a short bit of proper fuel hose. It is 1.5 or 2mm id 4mm od nylon hose, often sold cheaper on eBay as air line. Rubber fuel hose needs to be biofuel safe if you are using white or red Diesel. I use 3.5mm id marine fuel hose. https://www.hoseworld.com/marine-fuel-hose-iso-7840-a1-a2.html
February update of my fuel map for Kerosene & Red Diesel. Unfortunately, a few closures as we near the restrictions on Red Diesel. https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=14Y8nbYxaMFFGaxz17JX-YZjXU4WroOKC&usp=sharing
