  1. Sold it.

After 5 years and not nearly as many adventures as hoped, it's off to start a new life in Bristol. Keep a look out for it in your neck of the woods @Mattlad @Baysearcher

OMG...or as close as I've been recently...went to top up oil and as I tipped oil can to fill, a nut fell off and just missed going down the oil filler tube....Sheeeeet. Note to self - do not put nuts or anything on oil tin!

  6. Did a bit of spraying, not perfect but it is all being covered up anyway.

I've recently fitted 4 Boge, they seem OK though I have only been for a short run around the estate
I bought them from GSF, delivered in 2 days..

I took the risk, but I remembered that the wiring loom from the plug on the back of the H4's never seemed to be bent over very far, and the headlamp bowls are quite deep. The heatsinks had to be in the "long" position, as they foul on the fixing springs for the bulbs in the "short" position. The controller units are potted in aluminum cases, I looked inside one too see..
I cable tied it at the top to make sure it was drier.

In this way I avoided having to unthread the connectors, remove the rubber grommets and then replace the wiring with an extension for the sidelight bulb.
I reckon I could have got the control boxes inside the bus without having to get the extension cables in any case.

After recent bodywork disasters, some progress on the bay, because I did it myself!

new fuel lines mostly complete until rain stop play. Nice new copper line through firewall. Found these fuel clips a bit fiddly, but rounding them first on an oversize pipe seem to help .

They ain’t fuel clips. Thems jubilee clips. You don’t want to be using them on the fuel line,as they can pinch it,where you don’t see it.

If they were the correct size, I think the concensus is that Jubilee clips are fine ...but the one to the right of the corrugated pipe is definitely not the correct size

Find this hard to believe. These are part of the kit from Air Cooledworks.

Just measured diameter of hose as 11.5mm. The stamped spec is 11 to 19mm. So that should be ok. I’m assuming these are designed to be thinner to purposely pinch the line to ensure it grips

  17. I would go with the right size clips (those aren't). You can get plain stainless 11-13mm jobs for not much.

While we're nagging ;) I would get rid of that pressure regulator, if it's the EMPI style one. They're notorious for leaking, and fuel would soak into your sealing foam.

There just looks to be a long length of surplus metal after the screw.
