If Trump does somehow manage to avoid the penitentiary hotel, then be sure he'll emerge as the figurehead of a US Reform Party, as is his good buddy Farage over here. Farage's conciliatory statement that 'the war is over' is as mischievous as his strategic placement of UKIP election candidates.......
Playing devil's advocat... Trump didn't wanted to recognise he loosed elections. Democrats never recognized he win elections 4 years ago. Everyone is shocked by Trump supporters behaviour and the capitol's riot, done to protect their democracy. Not so much by all that antifa, black lives matters, you name them, riots, destructions etc, done to protect their democracy. Everyone was shocked by Floyd's death. Not so much by the woman death during capitol riot. Maybe because she was a white Trump supporter? During all his mandat Trump was always under attack against his personality. I agree, he is nuts. But, they don't have that much to say about his work. I read an article, written by a leftist media, that have to admit he did what he promise and the overall bilan of his mandat was not that negative. My sister works several months a year in Florida. When speaking of Trump with friends there, they said they knew what to expect from him as a man, but he gets the job done. I'm not a Trump fan, but he did well on a few things.
One of the best things I've heard ever - if you want people to lose weight, poison all the chocolate. This seems to have been his approach - Trump undoubtedly got things done - can you name one positive thing without googling it? I can nominate his withdrawal from the Paris climate accords, his dismantling of Obamacare, his withdrawal from the Iran nuclear agreement on the good things for some parts of America/Bad for everyone else ledger. The only other thing I can recall remotely positive was the weird thing he had going on with North Korea. I can see why to many he was popular, and I believe I know why - tell them they'll get more taxes, that the left are arming themselves etc. Plays right to peoples emotions. America for all its faults, used to be a land of optimism, they had great statesmen and women - I don't know where all that went, maybe it was all smokescreen. As for the a woman being shot for storming federal buildings (I would imagine she's had a couple of warnings given the training of guards in those places), compared to a black man that posed no danger, having his neck kneeled on whilst begging for air - we'll have to disagree on who is more deserving of sympathy. Tbh - I'm surprised more people weren't hurt, and I'm glad they weren't. Edit - apparently 6 people have lost their lives due in some way to the rioting, including a police officer. More details will no doubt trickle out, but that is damning stuff.
build a wall and get mexico to pay for it - nope put hillary in jail - nope replace obamacare - nope solve middle east conflict - nope get middle america rust belt/ coal mining industry back up and running - nope ban all muslims from entering usa - nope renegotiate nafta - nope, pulled out renegotiate iran nuclear deal - nope, pulled out bomb isis / take their oil - nope achievements? the only thing i can think of that he's actually achieved is tax cuts for the super wealthy and the separation of children from their families at immigration centres (over 500 still not reunited), he's rowed back on a whole bunch of environmental protections in the usa, not to mention pulling out of paris climate change, defunded WHO (in the midst of a global pandemic) and that's just off the top of my head. "he did well on a few things.? er no. i have to disagree.
This is worth a watch and quite funny - well, the bit about them being ‘special’ is anyway... Trump's political future in peril after Capitol attack, advisers say https://www.aol.com/trumps-political-future-peril-capitol-100600936-103507107.html And there’s this: Trump tweets he is skipping Biden's inauguration https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/08/politics/donald-trump-next-steps/index.html
Income. Trump is a huge economic driver for any media platform that relies on volume for its revenue. Take your pick....
Absolutely, and let’s not forget his dispicable mocking of a disabled reporter and the shameful garbage he spoke about John McCain. Trump is an utterly vile coward of a man. I sincerely hope he gets whatever is coming to him.
Don't know about Trump being a bit flakey but Nancy Pelosi she is something g else. Trying to get him impeached before he starts a nucleR war. She is one wicked son of a B@#$ch. Shows Donald isn't the the only fruitcake in the capitol building
I don’t think they will have enough backing in Congress for an impeachment, or to throw him out of office though he deserves both. Not sure how that makes Nancy Pelosi a fruitcake though. I don’t recall her repeatedly lying, insulting others like a child would do, or inciting violence. What is maybe more worthy of debate is that Trump has been banned from Twitter and some other social media , is Facebook one? On the one hand I think it’s a good thing because the less of his hate filled nonsense in the world the better. Or does it just push that hate filled nonsense underground so that it is harder to monitor. His side are saying it’s stopping freedom of speech and they will be able to play the victim on that one. On the other hand people shouldn’t have freedom to post potentially harmful stuff at Will. How do you judge that though? Part of me thinks better to keep that stuff out in the open and challenge it at each and every opportunity. Also to look carefully at why Trump has the support he has and address that.
Wtf are you on about. The world will be a much safer place with him out of the way! Don’t forget 6 people died as a result of trumps actions and he’s hardly displaying rational thinking just now. Your happy for him to have his finger on the button are you?
It's cold playing golf in Scotland especially at this time of year, perhaps if they get independence he could help building the wall, not sure what he's like with trowel though? Not at all happy to have him near any buttons, he's bonkers.
Presumably, if he said “***** it, I’m going to nuke Kim jong un” there are procedures in place to stop him doing that?
-to be fair he did ******* off the Chinese by trying to balance the trade deficit - not sure by how much he managed but he continued having his own stuff made in China - so didn't try too hard in case he started WW3
You'd think the bloke holding the keys would have a big gun and dum dum bullets... Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
Weird few years really. People seemed to have forgotten the connotations of flag waving insignia wearing right wing people having control over a country. Or left wing flag wavers come to that. The fact the conservatives always hold forty percent of the vote no matter what probably kept him in power, as that forty percent or a portion of is very influential, it’s the same here in the UK btw, they’re either related by blood or crime, the rich. The most amazing thing for me though, is how this thread has stayed on track and been conducted without moderation.
It's rather hard to even play the devils advocate in Donald's case. Where's the angle? I bet 99% his own supporters thinks he's a total looney but he's their total loon and as long as he looks after their interests, the fact that he appals, upsets etc etc everyone else is a bonus. I'm sure they chuckle at the distracting smokescreen furore he creates.
