    So cold weather has arrived.

Pickup lives outside under a JK cover and I found a bit of condensation in there this morning ☹️

Gave him a good wipe down and aired him out in the sun while I washed a very muddy mountain bike.

Thinking about a mains powered dehumidifier - anyone tried this ?

They say a car port is the best, it keeps off that falling dampness but allows free air to dry it after use.

I think I will invent Bay Hatz, a lightweight car port that clips to your gutters. Can be used anywhere, any time!*

*Not for use in wind, rain or snow.

It looks well stuck, what did you use?

Copydex. Simple but quite effective. And not too hard to remove when the inevitable need to do it all again happens.

Remembered that even more than the polythene, I hate the blinkin’ door card clips ;)
One done, one to go !

I wouldn't have thought of that, I generally squidge out whatever I have handy in a gun.

In case you didn't know, point the clips while imagining them stretching the card out in the best way.

Having got the door cards back on, with only a modicum of swearing about the clips, whilst fitting the door opener surrounds.... I dropped the blunt ended grub screw thing that holds it on.
(Please feel free to imagine the words I may have used). It is not to be found. And believe me I've looked. I even put my glasses on. And got out the long pokey device with the magnetic attachment. And a torch. (More imagining of suitable words to make your Aunty Edna blush)
I assume a re[placement can be purchased? I looked on VWH and they do picture the screw in question.... as part of the whole door opener kit for over £100!!
If anyone know what I'm looking for, or has a link, I'd be very happy.
I have a horrible feeling I'll be paying 50p for the screw and a fiver for postage if I can find it from the usual suspects.....

The screw that hold these on

C&C appear to have one for 49p, but will take the one out of the passenger door and see if the local hardware store has anything with the correct thread. I tried a normal M5 bolt but the thread was too tight. C&C want £4.99 postage

Email them and see if they can put it in an envelope for the price of a stamp?

Definitely! Thank you. I will ask at the hardware store, but if you've got the real deal that would be fab. Best price I could find was £1 with £2.99 postage

  16. Bloody annoying...
I'll be nipping to the lockup at some point in the next couple of days

Thank you. If I find it (hahahahahaha) or source something suitable locally, I’ll let you know.... but if not, much appreciated.

I want an air beam van cover. Put it over, inflate and the air beams hold it away from the bodywork ( have stilll to work out what happens when its blowing F9 and the fabric starts abrading the paint when it slaps it..)

Exactly. A cover is not always a good thing ... though in the right circumstances... I'll continue driving because every time I do, water pours out from here and there.

Just how much faster do stripes make them go?
Do I need to look in to a brakes upgrade?
