Looked like Rodney from Only F&H in Going Underground. He’s turned blonde at 70, always a scary look

After yesterdays fail I decided to have another go .

This time I decided the inlet manifold wasnt so precious...
Dremelled away enough to clear the new fuel pump.

Left stuff in the manifold to catch filings.

Old pump.. even this rubbed on the manifold it turns out.

    SSP pump.

All back together .. a reinforced laminate sealing the hole.
JB Weld worked into some woven fibreglass tape.
Slapped on a bit of a plastic bag. Placed over the hole.
Then several fingers worth of JB Weld smeared inside the manifold. Hopefully it will seal .. if it leaks, more JB Weld inside..

  7. Have you fitted your delay wipe relay yet? If not, why not ;)?

Because the relay I bought never turned up, got refunded, forgot about it completely and finished the dash. I'll revisit it one day but for now it's back to the manual version.

  11. Tsk. You’re missing out ;). Don’t you wish your wipers sprang to life every time you operate the washers?

Bought some 55mm bungs, btw. My bigger ones fell out. Fit a treat.

I haven't used my washers or wipers yet, except once by accident. Drive it in the rain? It might dissolve!

  13. Just ordered a set of caliper replacement seals, new pad springs and pins and anti squeal shims, hope the sun comes through later this week to let me fit them

  15. Not sure I can attach things to PMs. Diagram is in “How To” under “Wash Wipe Heaven”.

  17. After spending most of last Saturday battling a roll pin in the handbrake handle, I went for an easier job this week. Stuck a country code on the back. Whilst the number plate has a Swiss flag on it (currently on the dull car), the French police have been known to issue fines if you don't have the country code as well. Probably find the additional year on the sign invalidates it, and I'll end up with a 60 Euro fine on my next trip to the cheap supermarkets. If we're ever allowed to cross boarders again. [IMG]

  18. Well worth having imho. Fixed delay is fine.

  19. I assume i connect in line on the slow speed of my motor connection, do i then loose said speed from the switch and then end up with delayed and fast?

  20. No. Your wipers work as normal, fast and slow. The stock wiper switch overrides the delay wipe. You will need an extra switch on the dash to turn the delay function on.
