Put in some racking, fed up with scrabbling around on the floor

 

Dunno, it improves when the Bus is used. It's on my list, but other things keep getting in the way

 

A bit more to the front suspension, bored with this end now lol

 

If you put anything on those shelves it'll still end up on the floor!!

 

Rear end now, engine out because of a stubborn exhaust stud and oil leak, turned out to be a pushrod

 

I have already filled up the matching rack opposite

 

Won’t everything just slide off those shelves ?

 

Spent a couple of therapy hours making the wheels shiny, but actually intend to change them for a set of Empi’s I bought off here a while back

 

Managed to get it 10mm lower

Got these ready yesterday. Just t-cutted them and cleaned the tyres. Now flat on my back today - back is shot

Made a breather connector for the fuel tank breather to carb. Will see how it fares.


The pipe doesn't pull though as I put a little flare in the end of the pipe and I'll slide a snug piece of fuel hose on to the outer side of the pipe on the filter top to hold it in place

Can't believe nobody has commented on my previous owner's homemade abomination? Including fractures....

 

Fixed my reversing lights which annoyingly were repeatedly blowing fuses.

Ironically I think it was a bit of exposed electrical connector on the genuine VW fuse holder intermittently touching the bare metal coil clamp. Only time will tell for sure but the rest of it checked out.

Cleaned a little bit more of South Africa out of the chassis rails at the front.
I can still see more earth and small twigs in there and it’s well compacted.
Need to make a stick poker / scraper type thing to try and get it all out.

I did the same - red south African mud in every nook and cranny. Rattle and scrape with coat hanger wire then blast with compressed air in every available hole!
