We are going to next year all being well and we have been to southern Italy in our previous bays.

    Would you ?

  2. If I lived down south I Would take her to France maybe but too far for me currently :(
Was thinking of Ireland but the ferrys are so expensive.
Plus wouldnt ike to break down abroad either

  6. yep and have done, want to do it again when the little'un is not so little.

i'd like 6 months off to do it though

  7. Had the bus for just under three years and done it every year ... first time to Scotland ... well it is abraod if you live on the south coast, and last year Normandie/Brittany France for our honeymoon and this year Santander to Cherbourg ;D

    Go for it ;D ;D

Just make sure your bus is regularly shown some TLC and if you can do the small repairs then that also helps.

as we have a slight weep I also check the oil every 200 miles ;D

  8. Its my plan to take my van camping round Germany eventually. I know its a solid van but I'll still have to have the full breakdown cover just in case.

  9. Why not? We went to Austria in my dad's Bay when we were kids, journeys I remember well.

  10. No poll :)

The fuel bill alone to drive mine to france including ferries/train would cost more than i spend in an entire year going to wales.

No, but only because of the fuel.
I have been around France when fuel cost less 10 years ago.

  16. Well we have to say yes to this  as next year we are planning to go round Europe and up across the transatlantic highway to the artic circle in Stig!

Thats the dead line for Stig being done - it is a trip we have both always wanted to do and its the last year we can really get the kids out of school to do it - eldest starts secondary school next year - think it will be an educational enough trip for them, am sure they will come back with plenty of information from Wolfsburg etc, just maybe not be as educated in things the school would like them to be

No pressure or anything on getting Stig Bus finished and ready :laugh2:

  20. As to the costs - we are seriously considering down the route of an LPG tank, think a trip like that would more than cover the cost! :)

Looking forward to meeting some of the TLB good folk that way too  Holmsen ;D not forgotten what you said! Can't wait!
