Had a pretty good weekend on the bus again. I picked up my doors etc from the bead blasters. They have been media blasted and covered in a zinc phosphate anti corrosion waterbased coating. I am well pleased with the result and feel it has moved the project forward by a month or two. Here's how they looked fresh from the cleaners The doors look in very good nick apart from a few dents here & there, some of which had holes drilled in the dent areas which I am told is common for repairs done in the states. I decided to weld up the holes before priming. I'm going to get a coat of Custom epoxy on first and then apply filler where needed. Welded up the holes where reflectors were fitted. Another dent to sort out Here they are primed up Sorry Para, I forgot to do a piece of steel for the scratch test :-[. I'll make sure I do it next time.
who's the manufacturer of the zinc phosphate anti corrosion coating, I might be tempted to do our doors etc with this before we get too far
